U Rosso Umbria IGT is an intriguing blend of grape varieties that marry in harmony and synergy, combining warmth and freshness of flavour.

Lungarotti's U Rosso is made from Sangiovese, Merlot and other local red grape varieties, grown in the Umbrian terroir of Torgiano and harvested between September and October. A seductive, modern and clean wine with a good structure and a long and persistent aftertaste. This Umbria IGT wine is vinified in steel, with short maceration, daily pumping over and racking after eighteen days. Finally, it is matured in barriques and several months in the bottle. This passage preserves an inviting fragrance.

L'U Rosso is a satisfying and energetic wine, modern and at the same time lively, ideal for creative pairings with dishes from different gastronomic cultures, from tempura to goulash, from cacciucco to barbecue, pork and lamb, pizzas, quiches and of course cheese.

The name L'U is given by the initial letters of 'L'Umbria', the same as Lungarotti, to emphasise the strong link with the land of origin. The label depicts a 'Satyr', a drawing by Gilles de Ville from the 18th century, kept at the Torgiano Wine Museum.
