The Duke of Montalbo is a pride for Azienda Agricola G. Milazzo, proud of its production choice based on the selection of Nero d'Avola and Nerello Cappuccio grapes from the best vintages growing in a cru chosen for its unique influences on the growth of the vineyards. Over fifty years old, the vines have a low yield, inversely proportional to the quality of the fruit, which ripens optimally thanks to the characteristics of the soil in which they take root.
It is no coincidence that the Duke of Montalbo gives back in the glass an amazing intensity of aromas, with evident notes of spices and tobacco, accompanied by balsamic hints and hints of wild cherries. The warm taste with round tannins enhances with nobility the pairings with meat dishes: roasts, grilled meats and game are up to its pronounced thickness.
To obtain a wine like this, the winemakers of Azienda Agricola G. Milazzo evaluate, thanks to their many years of experience, whether the grapes of that vintage have reached the desired quality standards; usually, they wait for them to ripen on the plant until its leaves begin to turn yellow, when the plant goes into hibernation. It is precisely the knowledge and dedication of the producers that makes the Duca di Montalbo wine great.
