The Bukkuram Padre della Vigna 2012 is an elegant and refined dessert wine with an unmistakable charm: a Passito di Pantelleria DOC that has made quality its winning weapon. Produced only from Zibibbo grapes on the Mediterranean island, the Passito is born, on a hilly-terraced and volcanic soil, from small trees of Pantelleria with a manual harvest that takes place in the last weeks of August.

The vinification takes place by drying the grapes, partly in the sun for at least four weeks in suitable drying racks, the remaining part on the plant until September. When the fermentation is advanced, the previously dried grapes are added and the maceration process, which can last up to three months, is started. After reaching the right balance between the alcoholic component and residual sugar, the refinement begins for 42 months in 225 litre French oak barrels and for 6 months in steel tanks.

An amber-coloured wine with bright golden hues; an olfactory bouquet rich in Mediterranean scents, capers, green olives, ripe apple and classic aromas such as caramel, honey and cocoa. A dense and enveloping taste with a long persistent finish that recalls the many fruity notes. A Zibibbo, in magnum format, to be enjoyed on the best convivial occasions.
