A wine with a full-bodied and generous temperament, the red Mormoreto Toscana IGT is part of the Marchesi Frescobaldi label collection. It is made from Cabernet-Sauvignon, Cabernet franc, Petit Verdot grapes grown in the terroir of Nipozzano (FI), where for years the winery has dedicated itself to producing wines that highlight, with its own style, the qualities of the selected grape varieties. The notes of flavour that Mormoreto wine delineates on the palate are enhanced by culinary combinations with red meats, roasts, stews, game and very tasty foods. The wine is proposed here with a wooden case.

More info

The Mormoreto red is the authentic Tuscan expression of the blend of Cabernet-Sauvignon, Cabernet franc and Petit Verdot grapes: it was the ancestors of the Marchesi Frescobaldi producers who planted the French grapes first, with the intention of making a great Tuscan wine.

Thus was born, in 1983, the Mormoreto wine, with its vibrant, intense and balanced character and with its excellent refined scents. In recent years the winemakers of the winery have decided to add a touch of Sangiovese, to meet the highest production requirements.

The red Toscana IGT Marmoreto IGT has a remarkable character that can be seen from its intense purplish colour. It has a surprising bouquet of aromas of jasmine, bergamot, ripe fruits, raspberry, blackberry and citrus fruits, whose complexity is enhanced by a touch of spices that evolves on the finish into notes of tea and vanilla. Its organoleptic profile paints a fascinating picture that recalls the richness of the terroir of choice. On the palate it confirms its extraordinary complexity in a balanced and harmonious structure. Fineness of tannins and long persistence make the sip decidedly pleasant.
