Le Sabbie dell'Etna Rosso is the forerunner, alongside the Bianco, to the Firriato production of Volcano wines. These are labels designed for sophisticated palates, able to appreciate the special qualities that only the terroir of this area can bestow. They excel in pairing with red meats. Le Sabbie dell'Etna Rosso has great personality. This is demonstrated starting with its colour, bright ruby with lively violet hues. It has a delightful, complex bouquet: typically mineral notes leave the field, alternating with intense, well-defined aromas of cassis, blueberries, jammy plums, black cherries, liquorice, pepper and dried violets. In the mouth, it immediately reveals itself to be a well-balanced and harmonious wine, rich, warm and refined; it has soft tannins and long aromatic persistence with a satisfying and juicy finish. This Etna red from the Firriato cellars is made from Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio grapes on the Cavanera Etna Estate, whose wines are elitist and devoted to exclusivity. Le Sabbie dell'Etna Rosso should be discovered with every sip and enjoyed in its entirety: serve at a temperature between 16 and 18 °C.
