Rosso di Marco 2017 is a Sicilian red wine made only with Pignatello grapes, also called Perricone. The De Bartoli company is very busy in the field and in the winery in the exaltation of this native variety of Marsala, in the province of Trapani.
The Pignatello grapes are harvested by hand around the middle of September, and then left to macerate in steel and fermented on indigenous yeasts. Rosso di Marco embodies all the passion with which it is made, from the cultivation of the vine to the refinement of the wine; the latter takes place in French oak barrels for twelve months and in steel and bottle for a further six months.
The sip refers to blackberries and cherries, and there is a slight mineral note. Thanks to its easy to drink and served at the ideal serving temperature, between 16 and 18 °C, the Rosso di Marco De Bartoli delights throughout the meal. Try the 2017 vintage!
