A wine with a satisfying and soft temperament, the Rosso di Marco Terre Siciliane IGT is part of the Marco De Bartoli label collection. It is made from Pignatello grapes grown in the terroir of Marsala (TP), where for years the winery has dedicated itself to producing wines that highlight, with its own style, the qualities of the selected grapes. The notes of flavour that Marco's Rosso di Marco's red wine brings out on the palate are enhanced by culinary combinations with fish, cold cuts, white meats, battered vegetables and medium-aged cheeses.

More info

De Bartoli is very dedicated to the cultivation of native grape varieties of the Marsala area. Much of the work outside and inside the winery is dedicated to one of the most representative grape varieties of western Sicily, Pignatello.
Rosso di Marco is a red wine made only from Pignatello grapes (also known as Perricone) which, let it express itself in purity, give hints of blackberry and cherry with a slight mineral appeal.
The grapes are harvested by hand in late summer in Sicily, macerated in steel and fermented on indigenous yeasts. Aging for Marco De Bartoli's Rosso takes place in French oak barrels for the first twelve months and another six months in steel and bottle.
At the table we can taste the Rosso di Marco Terre Siciliane IGT throughout the meal thanks to its versatility, at the optimal temperature of 16/18 °C.
