Sherazade 2020

Donnafugata's Sherazade is a surprising red wine, one of those capable of surprising at first glance thanks to its brilliant ruby red colour with violet hues.

A 100% Nero d'Avola, Sherazade expresses the Mediterranean soul, the flavours, colours and aromas of Sicily blended in a perfect balance that perfectly soothes the senses. Contributing to this is undoubtedly the indigenous grape variety from which Sherazade comes, iconic for the island and a worthy representative of a valuable oenology; in this case Nero d'Avola is cultivated in south-western Sicily on clay loam soils.

Sherazade also preserves the magic of the land in terms of cultural influences. It is part of Donnafugata's Mille e una Notte collection and its name is a tribute to the protagonist of the collection of short stories.

Ideal with fish soups, spaghetti with tomato sauce and even with pizza, the red Sherazade offers a fruity bouquet of plum and sour cherry joined by lightly spiced notes of black pepper, sensations that are echoed in the mouth. It is a smooth and very fresh wine, with well-integrated tannins, a fragrant and truly pleasant red.

The ideal serving temperature for Sherazade Donnafugata is 14 - 16 °C.
