More info

CastelGiocondo Frescobaldi is a Brunello di Montalcino DOCG of great character. It is a vigorous red that best expresses its potential with the taste of braised beef, beef fillet or mature cheeses.

Clear and brilliant, CastelGiocondo has an intense ruby red color with garnet reflections on the nail. The nose is complex: it starts with fruity hints of blackberry, black currant and black cherry, followed by floral notes of violet and spicy black pepper, cloves, tobacco, cocoa, coffee and vanilla, and finally, mineral and balsamic hints.

Warm and soft, CastelGiocondo reveals a beautiful freshness and sapidity, with tannins in evidence and a long and persistent finish, with fruity notes in the aftertaste. Its serving temperature is 18 °C.

The selection of the grapes, the morphology of the soil and the respect for absolute quality production methods guarantee the excellent characteristics that cannot be missing from a Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, such as elegance and great finesse. The nobility of the CastelGiocondo red wine is the heritage of the Sangiovese grapes which, by accumulating considerable quantities of precious substances, preserve the delicate varietal aromas that we find in the wine.
