More info

The Marsala Superiore Riserva 10 years is a liqueur wine with a strong expressiveness obtained from Grillo grapes in the Contrada Samperi, western Sicily. The bunches are harvested on calcareous-sandy soil from sapling and Guyot counter- espalier plants with a yield of 25 hectolitres per hectare. After the soft pressing of the grapes and the natural sedimentation, the fermentation process starts at room temperature in oak and chestnut barrels. This is followed by an aging of over 10 years in oak barrels.

The De Bartoli family has been able to give new impetus to the production of Marsala wine, once the pride of the island, but devalued in recent years by entrepreneurs attracted exclusively by the god money. The Marsala Superiore 10 years is a dynamic wine, rich in personality and freshness.

The wine shows a shiny appearance, a golden yellow with subtle amber reflections. The nose is filled with hints of fruit, walnuts, citrus fruits and toasted almonds. On the palate the Marsala Superiore Riserva 10 years is warm and enveloping, confirms the fruity scents and reveals its complex structure.
