More info

The Marsala Vergine Riserva 1988 is a fabulous liqueur wine from the Marco De Bartoli winery made with one of the most famous grape varieties of Sicilian lands: Grillo. Guyot espalier plants grown in the well-known Contrada Samperi on flat, calcareous-sandy soils. Manual harvesting takes place in the last ten days of September, followed by soft pressing of the bunches, natural sedimentation and fermentation at room temperature in oak and chestnut barrels. It is then aged (using the Soleras method) for over 30 years in chestnut and oak barrels and six months in bottles before being released for sale.

The Marsala Vergine Riserva 1988 presents an elegant goblet with an orange tinge. The nose is valiant, with an immediate scent of oriental spices, orange peel and fresh dates. In the mouth it is long, radiant, with a fresh and savory character. A vortex of boundless emotions.
