Vecchio Samperi liqueur wine has a robust and aromatic taste, a result achieved thanks to the consolidated experience of the producers Marco De Bartoli. The processing of Grillo grapes, grown in the countryside of Marsala (TP), Sicily, enhances with particular care the scents given by the terroir of origin. The addition of alcohol gives character to the wine, for a harmonious sip to taste in the company of red meats and aged cheeses.

More info

The Vecchio Samperi of the Marco De Bartoli winery knows how to best express the passion and ancient tradition in a single bottle of white wine. Naturally Sicilian.

Grillo grapes bring to mind outdated sensations, landscapes, traditions, flavours and colours that have now disappeared. The harvesting of the sapling and Guyot counter-espalier plants takes place at the end of September with a careful selection of the bunches, pressing and natural sedimentation. Fermentation of the must takes place at room temperature in natural chestnut oak casks, while ageing lasts at least 15 years and involves the use of the perpetual method, a typical technique that consists of superimposing the barrels and decanting the wine from the upper to the lower barrel.

The Vecchio Samperi has an amber colour with a strong brilliance. The evidence of the nose is intense, with hints of honey, marine nuances and oriental spices. On the palate stands out the long persistence, an intense and articulated dry body. To be enjoyed in a large glass together with roe, baked turbot and braised meat.
