More info

The new winemaking techniques of recent decades have made it possible to create a complex and long-lived wine like the Grappoli del Grillo 2018. The Grillo grape varieties have allowed the Marco De Bartoli winery to express its quality to the maximum, giving it international prominence.

The beginning of the production of Grappoli del Grillo takes place on Sicilian Guyot espalier vines, from which Grillo grapes are harvested in the first ten days of September. The must, obtained by soft pressing, will remain to decant for at least 48 hours before proceeding with the fermentation process in steel tanks and French oak barrels. Finally, it will be aged for 12 months in casks and the final rest in the bottle.

At the opening of the curtain a strong yellow wine with greenish reflections appears. On the nose there are floral and fruity notes, with hints of pineapple and tropical fruit. On the palate the Grillo explodes in a vortex of elegance and refinement, accompanying a slight persistence with a bitterish finish. Combinable with strong dishes and strong character. To taste it at its best it is preferable to let it breathe for at least 20-30 minutes.
