Lucido is a Sicilian white wine from the Marco De Bartoli winery made with one of the most widespread white grape varieties in Sicily: it is produced with a specific variant of Catarratto grapes, called Catarratto bianco lucido, characterized by greater delicacy and freshness than the original variant and almost without its bitterish aftertaste.
The harvest takes place around the middle of September when, in the De Bartoli estate, the grapes are harvested and then selected by hand. Afterwards the bunches are carefully pressed and the must is left to decant for about two days; fermentation takes place in steel tanks using indigenous yeasts.
Lucido is perfect with traditional Sicilian dishes and first courses based on fish, especially shellfish and crustaceans. The serving temperature is 10/12°C.
